The prerequisite for the successful development of the packaging specialist’s innovative corrugated cardboard design was a holistic analysis of the packaging previously used and the customer’s entire supply cycle.

The optimized U-shape packaging for the bumpers impresses across the board with a significant reduction in costs and easy handling. Compared to the solution previously used by a well-known automotive supplier, the clever corrugated cardboard packaging can be erected much more quickly and easily. The packaging experts at Delta Packaging reduced the packing time by an impressive 30 percent with the help of the new concept. What’s more, the entire packaging process can now be carried out by just one employee instead of two.

Thanks to the flat outer walls of the packaging, the risk of cuts can now also be safely eliminated. Another advantage of the new design is the ingenious folding technology, which guarantees extremely high inherent stability.

In the new transport packaging, an additional integrated corrugated board web provides the previously missing protection for the external component tongue. Despite using higher-quality materials, Delta Packaging achieved significant annual savings of around 60,000 euros for its customer with this holistic concept.
